| Aberrant: | A catch-all term for an irregular occurance in a Stream; if left unchecked, an Aberrant can grow, and eventually lead to a Deadstream. |
| Deadstream: | A specialized name for a particular Stream. This one has been destroyed, along with all others leading from it. |
| Homestream: | A specialized name for a particular Stream. Someone's Homestream is the Stream they come from. |
| Leap: | To cross from Stream to Stream. |
| Mainstream: | A specialized name for a particular Stream. A Mainstream is the most stable, the most steady in a group of Streams, and it's hardest to manipulate. More often than not, another Stream will branch off from it rather then itself changing. |
| Manifest: | A Serucos's default form and garb. While in most cases it remains the same, it can and does change if it comes into conflict with the Rules of the Stream the Serucos is in. The Manifest is directly tied to the Serucos's soul, and has been known to change if the condition or state of the soul changes. |
| Nexus: | Called the 'Heart' of the Reality Stream by many, Nexus is the Stream where the Serucos are able to monitor and leap into other Streams with the least difficulty. This is the Stream with perhaps the least, and most unrestrictive Rules, which is why the Serucos are so at ease there. |
| Reality Stream: | Existance itself, so to speak. The collection of Mainstreams, Homestreams, and all other Streams. |
| Rules: | Each Stream has its own Rules, which even a Serucos must obey. To bend, or even break the Rules creates instability, which can lead to a Deadstream. |
| Serucos: | One with the ability to Leap without aid. Serucos are rare; less then one per Mainstream. There has never been two to a Mainstream...until now. |
| Soul: | A particular being. While there are an infinite amount of souls in the Reality Stream, there are many that are similar, or even identical across Streams. Of all the ones that are identical to one another, only one has the potential to become a Serucos. |
| Stream: | The Reality Stream is made up of nearly an infinite amount of Streams; each Stream is a seperate 'reality'. |
