Q: Who are you?
A: Who are any of us, really...er...sorry. I'm Mindy, the author. I tried getting one of the muses to do this, but none volunteered.

Q: Why are you doing this?
A: ...? The FAQ? Because I thought it might be useful. The comic? Because I wanted to. You can see the about the comic page for more information.

Q: Your art sucks!
A: Not a question, but I'll answer it anyway. THANK YOU, CAPTAIN OBVIOUS! I'm very much aware that my art isn't as good as a lot of the webcomics out there.

Q: So why are you doing this?
A: Aside from what's on the about the comic page, I want to improve. I figure putting ~2 comics a week ought to sharpen my skills.

Q: How do you create the comic?
A: Oh, cool, a decent question! First I get an idea of what I want to have happen in the strip. Then I do some sketchdoodles, until I get what I want. I'll scan them, and crop/paste the individual doodles into The GIMP, which has had a new file opened at 500x700 pixels. From there, I start playing around until everything's placed. After that I flatten it, and add at least four more layers; lineart, and three for colors (lower, middle, and upper). From there things are pretty much one panel at a time; path the lines, add the color. When it's done, I flatten all layers into one. Then I change the canvas size to 508x708, and adjust the comic layer until there's 4 panels border on each side. Save, and voila!

Q: I know a way that could probably help you/make quality better, it's...
A: Two things to keep in mind when sending me advice: constructive critism works a lot better then just critism. I love people showing me ways to improve, and links to tutorials make me happy. At the moment I've recently switched from doing just pencil, to coloring in GIMP; the next logical step would be backgrounds, or shading. But if you've got any other ideas, by all means, send them in.

Q: Can I feature your character in my comic/can you feature mine in your comic/want to make a crossover?
A: The nature of Reality Stream makes it very easy for crossovers/cameos to happen, though this isn't the focus of the story. But if you're interested in creating one, please email me here and we'll talk. :)
